Suricata/ Meerkat

Esta es una serie de dibujos de suricatas (Suricata suricatta) que estoy haciendo en diferentes técnicas. De momento cuelgo el primer dibujo que lo hice como un estudio previo, ya que la calidad de la imagen del modelo que utilice era bastante mala. Con este dibujo pude incluir algun detalle más y tener una vision general de como funciona la luz sobre el animal.

Suricata suricatta

This is an illustrarion of a suricata, the first one of a series I am making in different techniques. I made it to study how the light would work over the animal shape and to include or to clarify some details that where not clear enoguh in the picutre I took as model.

Este es un sketch en acuarela, dibujado a partir de una fotografia. La especie es "Gomphidius roseus".

Al principio solo dibuje el hongo, pero como quedaba flotando en el aire le puse un fondo a grafito muy poco detallado, para que no le restase importancia al hongo, que representa el sustrato donde crece.

Watercolor sketch. I draw a little detailed background in graphite, imitating the susbstrate where the species grows, to not to reduce the importance of the mushroom in the global image.
